Early Start Program: The Early Start Program (ESP) is a one-week program designed for beginners ages 12 and under. Those older than 12, but brand new to the sport of volleyball and who feel this program will offer them the best opportunity at learning, are encouraged to contact the ESP director for guidance prior to picking a camp to attend. This camp is designed to ensure players learn basic skills (passing, setting, serving, and attacking). Players will be taught proper hand placement, footwork, and body positioning used for each basic skill. The skills will be taught, reinforced, and used during scrimmages and games.
Players will perform proper stretching techniques and participate in conditioning. We will also discuss basic game theory, i.e. court positions, rotation, numbering system, volleyball etiquette and sportsmanship. Above all, we will have lots of fun.
